Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures a perfectly baked cake.

Baking Pan

  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray. This will help your cake come out easily.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of cocoa powder, and 1 cup of sugar. This is where the magic begins!

Melt Butter

  • In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of butter over low heat. Let it cool slightly before adding to the mix.

Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, beat 4 eggs and add them to the melted butter. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for that lovely flavor.

Mix Everything Together

  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; don’t overmix!

Bake the Cake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. A toothpick should come out clean!

Prepare the Topping

  • While the cake is baking, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 cup of mini marshmallows in a saucepan. Stir until smooth.

Add the Topping

  • Once the cake is out of the oven, spread the chocolate and marshmallow mixture over the top. Let it cool slightly.

Slice and Serve

  • Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy your decadent Mississippi Mud Cake!
