Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients: 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 cup warm water, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast, 1/4 cup melted butter, and a pinch of salt.
Activate the Yeast
- In a small bowl, mix warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and the activated yeast mixture. Stir until well blended.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Don’t be shy; give it some love!
Let It Rise
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape the Bread
- Once risen, punch down the dough gently. Shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
Second Rise
- Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until puffy.
Preheat the Oven
- While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Get that oven nice and toasty!
Bake the Bread
- Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Cool and Enjoy
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice, spread some butter, and enjoy your delightful creation!
