Method
 

  1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up while you prepare the dough.
  2. Collect ripe bananas, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mash 2-3 ripe bananas until smooth. A fork works perfectly for this!
  4. Add 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Don’t overmix!
  7. Gently fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips for that extra sweetness and fun.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  9. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
